I was expecting more outta you, google Topeka. Every year on this day, I get excited. I wake up, drive to work, start up firefox, and giggle to myself as I await to see what trickery you’ve come up with this year. After last year’s Cadie episode, I was wondering how you’d top yourself…
Last year every page of yours was “infected” with CADIE or other tom-foolery… Picasa, YouTube, her own website, even the lesser known google pages…
And this year, we get one page. One.
Weak.

Look more closely, Scott.
1. Results pages have funny result times. “Topeka” told me it took them 1.21 gigawatts to fetch results for “ranting welshman”

Another time it gave me a time in parsecs.
2. Google Wave launches new notifications that sends a guy in a lab coat to find you, wave at you and tell you to check your wave.

3. Google Docs now lets you upload your keys and wallet.

4. Google Translate works for animals now.

5. Google Mobile can now search for where you are.

Not as great or uniform as Cadie, but still, a lot more work than what’s obviously on the surface.
And the Wave one was fantastic.
Also just found out that Google Street View is in fake 3-D for the day.
I stand completely and utterly corrected!
Nice work, Topeka and Fireball.
(We’d better trademark that before it becomes a cartoon on Nickelodeon…)
o.m.gsh.
Your first blog in almost a YEAR was about April Fools Day.
::sigh::
The people want more, welshman.
